LASU 21st Convocation: LASU set to turn out 17,695 Graduates

LASU 21st Convocation: LASU is set to turn out 17,695 Graduates into the labour market.

LASU set to turn out 36,489 graduates, comprises of Diploma, First & Higher Degrees graduands at its 21st Convocation ceremony scheduled for 22nd March, 2017 and 2rd March, 2017.


Twenty Seven out of about Thirty Six Thousand, Four Hundred and Eighty Nine (36,489) graduating students of the Lagos State University (LASU) for the 2015/2016 academic sessions are graduating with First Class honours.

Vice-Chancellor,Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, disclosed at a news conference on Thursday that 28,300 graduands would be convocated for the full time and part-time programmes. The vice-chancellor said that twenty six students made first class division , while 2,642 made second class upper and 20,412 made second class lower divisions. He said that 5,025 made third class division and 115 would be graduating with a pass degree.

133 Diploma students would also be graduating with 8,056 Higher Degrees. The VC stressed that all the graduating students have fulfilled the requirements for the award of the degrees.
