2016/2017 Federal College Of Education Oyo, (Special) Degree Admission Screening Registration

The Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo in affiliation with the University of Ibadan hereby solicits application from qualified candidates into its NUC-approved full-time undergraduate degree programmes. The College which is the only one in the Country authorised to train special education teachers and other personnel was established in October 1977.

Available undergraduate courses are as given below:
  • ·         Education/Christian Religious Studies

  • ·         Educational Management
  • ·         Guidance and Counseling
  • ·         Human Kinetics
  • ·         Primary Education Studies
  • ·         Education/Mathematics
  • ·         Education/French
  • ·         Education/English and
  • ·         Special Education.                                                                                               

  • Eligibility/Requirements for Admission:

    The following candidates are eligible to apply:

    a) Those that sat for the 2016/2017 UTME and scored 180 and above but did not choose the College;

    b) Those who applied to JAMB for Direct Entry;

    c) Those who made the College their preferred Institution of choice, sat for the 2016/2017 UTME    and scored 180 and above.


    Registration Formalities:
    1.                   a) Candidates are to pay the Admission Portal Access Fee of N2,500.00 into FCES/UI Admission Processing fee with details given below:

    Bear in mind that the teller should have full names of the candidate (SURNAME first) as in the UTME result slip preceded by the JAMB Registration number, as the Payee (Depositor) as shown below: 85155889FE / OGO-OLUWA, MOBOLAJE OPEYEMI

    b) After payment, prospective candidates are to log on to
    www.fcesuidegree.com and click on Pre-Admission Screening under Prospective Student.

    c) Candidates are then expected to supply Teller Number and UTME Registration Number to access the Portal and submit their bio-data and O’ level and / OR NCE results.


    d) Candidates should ensure that the online forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as ‘mistake(s)’ may lead to disqualification.

    2. (a) The online forms are to be filled in CAPITAL letters only.

    (b) Candidates can return to the portal, up till Saturday, September 30, 2016 to edit/complete their previous entries or otherwise review and print their submissions. Candidates should ensure that they click “FINAL SUBMISSION” before printing. Applicants should note that no further editing can be done after final submission.

    (c) Functional e-mail addresses and GSM numbers should be provided to enable the College reach out to candidates in the course of the Admission exercise, whenever the need arises.

    (d) Candidates are expected to upload their passport photographs, signature, UTME Original Result Slip and all results. The image format for the passport and signature is JPEG in the specification given. The photographs must be on white background showing both ears, without glasses, cap or headgear.

    (e) An online help desk platform on spedportal@yahoo.com will be available to handle all genuine inquiries.


    (f) Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another result may be presented to complement. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (6 credits at 2 sittings), should ensure that the comprehensive details of both results are submitted accordingly.

    (g)  Submission deadline of bio-data/‘O’ level results may not be extended. Any candidate whose data is not submitted within the given time may not be considered for screening and admission.

    (h) Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Anyone found guilty of this offence will be automatically disqualified and may be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.

    Application Deadline
    Candidates are to submit their bio-data and SSCE WAEC/NECO O’L or (equivalent certificate) and NCE results (for Direct Entry) ONLINE on or before Saturday, September 30, 2016.


    Special Notice:
                        i.         Candidates are requested to note that payment of the Admission Portal Access Fee of N2,500.00 is for processing of each candidate’s application. This does not guarantee admission.
          
                        ii.      Direct Entry candidates however, are to come with two copies each of photocopy of credentials, payment teller, online registration form, JAMB (DE) Registration and coloured passport ON OR BEFORE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2016 at the Directorate of Degree and Diploma Programmes of the College.
